Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Mid-Mountains Garden Festival

The Mid-Mountains Garden Festival is a biennial Spring celebration held in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Private gardens are generously open to the public to raise funds for Hazelbrook Public School, a local primary school. In 2024, the Festival proudly celebrated 40 years since it was first established. It has become a much-loved community event which has continued with the joint efforts of local gardeners, businesses and parents of kids attending the school. Thank you to all our visitors who came along to support Hazelbrook Public School and experienced the Festival in 2024. We're pleased to announce that we will be back in 2026 over the weekends of 12-13 & 19-20 Sept 2026. Save the date in your diaries!

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Hazelbrook Public School has an active and enthusiastic Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). The P&C represents parents and carers of children at our school, supporting the education of our students through a number of activities, and actively seeking to enrich all aspects of the school.

The P&C meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month during school terms at 7pm in the staff room or via Zoom. Meetings, reports of various fundraising activities, a personal report by the principal, updates and educational issues, allocation of funds and general business where matters of interest concerning the school and education are discussed.

Among other things, the P&C raises money for the school through various fundraising activities.
