Hazelbrook to represent the Blue Mountains in the Premiers Debating Challenge

Thursday 22 August, Team Hazo's undefeated debating team went head-to-head with Leura Public School's similarly unbeaten team. It was a true clash of the Titans! Hazelbrook had to argue the affirmative that: "All primary schools should have an extra hour of sport each week".

The adjudicator, Angela Hill, was particularly impressed by Hazelbrook's sophisticated model, detailed rebuttals, and overall unity as a team. She awarded the debate in Hazelbrook's favour. This means that our 2024 debaters can stand proud as the Blue Mountains primary debating Champions! Mr McDonald, as well as our school community, are so very proud of their achievements already this season! And there is still more to come...

Team Hazelbrook will now enter the knock out stage of the competition, representing the blue Mountains zone against other zone champions in the finals of the premiers Debating challenge.
